I've been drinking Fortaleza long before it was known. Only in America it is overpriced, but for good reason. It is made the old fashion way, and for good reason.
The cooked agave, crushed under a traditional Tahona, the natural fermentation and copper stills make this Tequila the top of the crop.
In my home it is shared only with my closest friends. The best tequila I have ever had!
If you truly what it's like to drink a additive free tequila, this brand alone is the way to go. Always pricey because it's a limited batch when it comes to aged tequila. The taste is fantastic and you get flavors of cooked agave, oak, caramel and a little vanilla.
I only sip this tequila on special occasions and never mix it with anything.
